Job: T-T Asst. or Assoc. Prof. at DTU
Deadline for application: 15 August 2023
DTU Management is looking for assistant/associate professors within Science and Technology Studies (STS), which is an interdisciplinary scholarly field that makes inquiry into how science and technology are developed, adopted, resisted, and translated in practice. We attend empirically to the processes through which knowledge is made and to the societal transformations brought about by science and technology. A pivotal idea in STS is that to grasp the impact of science and technology in society we need to understand science and technology as entanglements of social, technical, environmental, and political elements and as part of larger infrastructural arrangements.
The successful candidate must conduct research within one or more of the following areas:
- Energy systems, community involvement and infrastructure reconfiguration
- Public sector digitalization with a special focus on the relation between politics, governance and digital (non)citizenship
- The making of sustainable societal futures with a special focus on AI
- Digital health and welfare with a special focus on human-centred design and engineering
The candidate will be involved in teaching the mandatory BA course “Science, Technology and Society” for engineering students and participate in the development of electives and PhD courses.
