Symposium on tools for digital humanities

The Science, Technology and Learning Seminar Series explores the interface(s) between technologies and learning. The Seminar Series are hosted by the Techno-Anthropology Research Group (TANT) and the Research Lab for IT and Learning Design (ILD), both at the Department of Learning and Philosophy, Aalborg University Copenhagen. At the third seminar this fall, we are presenting two guests from abroad:

David Williamson Shaffer, Vilas Distinguished Achievement Professor of Learning Sciences at University of Wisconsin-Madison, will speak about “Quantitative Ethnography: Tools for telling textured stories at scale”

Mathieu Jacomy, Research Engineer, SciencesPo médialab, Paris, France, will speak about “Scripts, toolkits, softwares, frameworks: Getting rid of big data’s one-size-fits-all ideology”

The talk will take place in room 3.084A, A. C. Meyers Vænge 15, Copenhagen.

After the two talks, the Department for Learning and Philosophy will host a drinks reception.
